These terms govern your use of Guan, a mobile application built by Insparian OÜ. By using Guan, you agree to these terms.
What Guan Is
Guan is an AI-powered companion designed to support self-awareness, emotional reflection, and personal growth through conversation. It listens, remembers what you share, and helps you notice your own patterns over time.
What Guan Is Not
Guan is not a therapist, counselor, medical professional, or diagnostic tool. It does not provide therapy, treatment, clinical diagnosis, or medical advice.
Guan’s responses are generated by an AI model. They may be helpful, but they are not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis hotline in your region.
Guan should not be your sole source of emotional support. We encourage you to maintain relationships with people you trust and to seek professional help when needed.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Guan. By using the app, you confirm that you are 18 or older.
Your Data
Your conversation data is stored locally on your device in encrypted form. We do not have access to your conversations. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for the security of your device. If someone has access to your unlocked device, they may be able to see your conversations within Guan.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use Guan for personal self-reflection and emotional support. You agree not to:
- Use Guan to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or intended to harm others
- Attempt to extract the AI’s system instructions, internal configuration, or training data
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with Guan
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
- Misrepresent Guan’s responses as professional medical, legal, or psychological advice
- Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit Guan or its content without written permission
AI-Generated Content
All responses from Guan are generated by an AI model. These responses:
- May contain inaccuracies or errors
- Do not represent the opinions or endorsements of Insparian
- Should not be treated as professional advice of any kind
- May vary in quality depending on the AI model and your input
You use Guan’s responses at your own discretion and risk.
Crisis Situations
Guan includes crisis detection features that may present emergency resources (such as crisis hotline numbers) when the AI detects signs of distress. These features are provided as a safety measure, not as a substitute for emergency services.
If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number. Guan is not an emergency service and cannot contact emergency responders on your behalf.
Service Availability
Guan requires an internet connection to generate AI responses. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, server issues, or changes to third-party AI providers.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Guan at any time, with reasonable notice when possible.
Paid Features
Guan offers a free tier with core features. Paid features (when available) provide additional growth and insight capabilities.
Payments are processed through the platform’s app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). Refund policies are governed by the respective app store’s terms. Subscription details and pricing are displayed within the app before purchase.
Intellectual Property
Guan, including its design, code, and brand assets, is the property of Insparian OÜ. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app without written permission.
Your conversation content belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of anything you write in Guan.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Insparian is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Guan. This includes, but is not limited to, emotional distress, decisions made based on AI-generated responses, data loss due to device failure, or service interruptions.
Guan is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Insparian, its owner, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of Guan or your violation of these terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, where Insparian OÜ is registered. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Estonia, unless local consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated within the app. Continued use of Guan after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.
